Sermon 🕊️

📖1 John 2:23-25
23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either, but he who confesses the Son has the Father also.
24 Therefore let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 24 And the promise which He made to us is eternal life.
📖John 7:40-52
⁴⁰ Many of the people, when they heard these words, said, “This is certainly a prophet.” ⁴¹ Others said, “This is the Christ.” But others said, “Does the Christ come from Galilee?” ⁴² Has not the Scripture said that the Christ will come of the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the place where David was? ⁴³ Therefore a division arose among the people because of Him. ⁴⁴ Some of them wanted to arrest Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
⁴⁵ So the officers returned to the chief priests and the Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why did you not bring Him?”
⁴⁶ The officers answered, “Never did anyone speak like this man.”
⁴⁷ The Pharisees said to them, “Are you also deceived?” ⁴⁸ Has any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in Him? ⁴⁹ But this crowd, which does not know the law, is cursed.
⁵⁰ Nicodemus, who came to Him by night, being one of them, said to them, ⁵¹ Does our law judge a man unless it first hears him and knows what he does?
⁵² Then they said to him, “Are you not also from Galilee? Consider and see that no prophet rises out of Galilee.”
